Abstract: Dislocation internal friction, elastic modulus defect and their ratio r have been studied in an- nealed and plastically deformed Zn single crystals in the temperature range of 80 to 300 K in a wide range of oscillation amplitudes. The results ob- tained are discussed within the present notion about the nature of dissipative elastic oscillation losses in solids.
