Abstract: Some results of amorphous alloy nanocrystallization by shock wave are presented. Compared with the well known annealing crystallization, these results seem novel and are very difficult to be explained by the diffusion theory, such as nucleation and growth mechanism in the solid state phase transitions. The shock wave crystallization of amorphous alloy is a new metallurgical phenomenon with possibilities for improving the crystallization theory in physics.
