Abstract: The applications of commercial computer program set "SPLEN-O" based on finite elements method (FEM) for the simulation of superplastic forming (SPF) technology of shells are described. The changes in characteristics of ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure during deformation are taken into account in function of viscosity and solving algorithm. Some examples are shown to illustrate the possibilities of FEM simulation for prediction of numerical grain-size data on different SPF stages of shells.
