Abstract: The influence of quenching technology, annealing temperature and time on the structures and magnetic properties of Nd8Fe83Co3B6 nanocomposite magnets was investigated. The results show that the alpha-Fe/Nd2Fe14B nanocomposite magnet containing a small amount of B is difficult to form amorphous state. The magnetic properties of 26 m/s quenched Nd8Fe83Co3B6 powders annealed at 640 degrees Cx480 s reach H-i(c)=513 kA/lm, B-r=1.05 T and (BH)(max)=92.0 kJ/m(3). The grain size is Dalpha-Fe=21.5 nm and D-Nd2Fe14B=30.2 nm.
